The Antrim Glen Emergency Planning Committee (EPC)

Mandate

The EPC mandate is “To communicate to Antrim Glen residents information allowing them to prepare for emergencies.” The Planning Committee was formed shortly after the December 2013 ice storm that crippled most of this area and left some people out of their homes for four to five days.

Part of the committee’s plan is to identify residents who may require extra support during a community emergency, along with potential resources.

Committee Responsibilities

  • Ensure Antrim Glen residents are emergency ready
  • Communicate current emergency information to residents
  • Research and develop training programs to assist residents to be emergency ready
  • Provide access to local area emergency information
  • Submit monthly committee minutes and information to the board
  • Submit an Annual Report for the AGM
