Our mandate is to connect in friendship, spiritual support, and practical help and we warmly welcome you. About 50 people come out on Monday mornings for videos and discussions, and we have activities in between like making milk bag sleeping mats. Our committee includes Sylvia Fry, Harv and Sandy Wilkie, Jan McEwin, Mary Mauro, Kathy Horak, and Terry and Sharon Whitfield.
Bring your craft project - whether it’s knitting, needlework, scrapbooking, crochet or something else - to the Sundowner Lounge every Wednesday afternoon at 1:00. We enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and friendship while working.
Friendly competition is the name of the game Monday nights from 7:00 to 9:00, whether you’re an absolute beginner or a real archer! We play 501, Cricket, Killer, Baseball, Golf and Around the Board. Everyone has their own darts, but we have some extra sets available if you’d like to try it out. Players pay $1.00 per week, which is used for the season’s end event.
From September through May, a group meets every Tuesday night at 7:00 in the Sundowner Lounge to play Mexican Train Dominos and discuss the most pressing issues of the day. Basic math skills help, but all you really need is a great sense of humour!
Join the grow your own movement with a garden patch in Antrim Glen. Plots and water tap are available on Bushmill Circle. Gardeners are responsible for maintaining their plot and keeping it neat and weed-free. Enjoy the company of others, share gardening tips and tools and even exchange vegetables.
Join us Friday mornings at Pineland Greens Golf Club, a well maintained, par-31 nine-hole course nearby. Serious golfers with no sense of humour or patience for hackers and newbies are pre-warned: this is a fun morning.
Tee times are from 7:30 a.m. through to 8:45 a.m. They are arranged on a weekly basis on the bulletin board, or via the website, no later than the Tuesday prior and you are notified by email of your tee time. A sign-up sheet for the following week is also available at the course.
For the more serious golfer, there is Men’s Golf League available to Antrim Glen residents on Tuesday mornings at the 18-hole, par 72 Cambridge Golf Club located close by on Clyde Road. Approximately 30 Antrim Glen residents play there, coordinated by the Dundas Valley Retirees Golf Association.
Join a small but dedicated group of hikers from the Glen who make exercise fun. Trips are varied and are planned several weeks in advance. To find out the next destination and how to get involved, contact Kathy Horak at 905-659-6547 or [email protected]

Hawaiian Hula dancing is alive and thriving in Antrim Glen! It is beautiful to watch and is a substantial workout. We have a wonderful group of ladies called the ‘Hibiscus Dancers’ who get together regularly to dance the hula. Some of these ladies enjoy performing at various Christmas functions as well as nursing homes, parties and in various Antrim Glen Variety Shows.
Classes are offered Mondays 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. and Thursdays 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. at the Glen. We take it slow, working on posture, the basic step (koholo) and how to move your arms and hands. We then combine it all into a dance. Anyone is welcome to come out and try a class. The movements become automatic with regular practice. There is no charge for either class.

This is Marathon Bridge in our homes, starting August and ending in May each year. Just find a partner and sign up. Set your own times to play as long as all matches are completed by May 30. Even if you are a snowbird or you work, you can still play!

Cost is $5.00 per person for the year for prizes for the wind-up, the first Sunday of June. Scoring sheets and guidelines will be provided to each team. A schedule will be done, with everyone taking turns hosting.
